Online Business Ideas

Online business ideas have brought career control and lots of rewards to people who took interest in Internet opportunities quickly. Most of the online jobs gravitate around freelance writing, website design, affiliate promotions, sales and even surveys. Thus, some people earn their fortune from writing e-books, know-hows and e-guides they afterward promote online, others focus on a personal product or offer consultancy in various activity sectors and last but not least some people make a living from moderating forums.

The interest in online business ideas has got only higher with the international financial crisis and the national economies in recession. With the perspective of thousands of jobs being reduced, it is only natural that people will focus on home-based opportunities that can save the entire family from the risk of working for corporations. Start working on the online business ideas right away; there are a lot of unexpected things ahead of us, and no one knows what will happen next.

Types of Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization is a term that may also refer to enhancing the amount and the quality of traffic of a website. Basically any search engine, and here Google is the most common of examples, performs its search and displays a page with lots of websites that contain the information you are looking for. The better the results that the engine comes up with, the better the search engine optimization is. Also, if the found and displayed pages have higher rankings, this equals with a higher number of users, and thus better traffic. Search engine optimization could cover different aims depending on the initial purpose of the engine; it can target images, local data, industry, and many more other fields of interest. If you were to search for search engines, you may find that they are grouped into categories with targets varying from general interest to legal or medical matters.

Basic search engine optimization

Before I created my first website, I never bothered to know what search engine optimization really means. It sounded so technical to me then. From the word “optimization” I thought it meant something like the efficiency of google, for example, to find the webpages that cater to the search terms people typed in the google search box. Of course, this understanding is rather simplistic as I found out this year.

As an internet researcher, my only concern is to arrive at the right web sites giving the type of information or data I need. My only remaining problem is to judge whether the information returned by the google search pages are accurate or if the data come with integrity. For this reason, I normally would dig deep into the google search results up to 500th page if necessary to get to where I want.

Why SEO is necessary

Becoming a webmaster and an online internet marketer this year had me on a frenzy trying to learn the basics of search engine optimization or SEO for short. Just what is SEO? And what’s the necessity of doing so?

Internet Marketing – A Fine Distinction

It’s already the end of October, and not a single post can be read on this blog. So it’s time to document something before this month of 2008 slips away forever.

From my own vantage point, a lot has been learned and a significant portion has been accomplished. It was the middle of June 2008 when I first uploaded the first page of my first website. It was a one liner with a header graphic that says “site under construction”.  Nothing more.

Before the middle of this year, I have not written any html page of my own much less create a website. I didn’t  know then the distinction between a static site and a dynamic page.  I didn’t have any knowledge whatsover about php nor have I tried for myself an ftp upload to a server.  All the basics of online dynamics, although not so alien in semantics, were all virgin territories waiting to be explored.
